Subsequently, the magazine informed her that she would contribute to Vanity Fair, explaining that ‘her contribution would be across the websites on an ongoing basis looking at what topics of interest are relevant’.

In the end, there was no more evasion on both sides as Monica Lewinsky stated that she and the president were involved in an intimate relationship. The pair had sexual relations on at least 9 separate occasions from 1995 to 1997. And while many wished for the claims to be false, Monica had evidence thanks to Linda Tripp, another employee within the White House. When Lewinsky began telling more and more about the affair to Tripp, the latter started recording their interaction without her knowledge. More so, she persuaded Monica to keep a stained dress which had some of the President’s leucocyte. This leaves the president with very few options other than stating that he had made “a critical lapse of judgement” and attempting to logic it with, “I did not have relations with that woman.”
