The latest technology, long-lasting lithium-ion batteries, in particular, implies that the brand leaders’ best cordless vacuum cleaners Shark, Dyson, Vax etc. have enough cleaning performance for the majority of the households today but in a lower weight, more mobile, more convenient and affordable package. Cordless vacuums are more economical as they tend to use smaller motors and only consume power while charging, making them more effective than conventional vacuum cleaners. This is increasingly attractive as the energy price continues to increase. If you require a vacuum that pulls pet hairs, especially off sofas and beds, a light and easy to operate cordless makes all the sense.

Halo Capsule X When the bundles
The Halo Capsule X employs bags for holding the dirt instead of a dust container to take dust which are only carbon fibre housing. Every time the dust pouch indicator turns red, detach it and throw the green compostable pouch inside the bin to be replaced with another bag. Cons include where you have to keep purchasing the bags hence this vacuum cleaner will cost more than simply buying it. However, they do carry 2L worth of dirt which is really impressive for a cordless. So changing the bags in the trash will not have to be done that frequently.

Tefal X-Force Flex 15.60
You probably know Tefal from their assortment of frying pans. However, this is Tefal’s debut in the vacuum cleaners market. The entire series gets its name from the hinge located in the midsection which bends enabling you to clean sections under the tables and cupboards. Smart, but not by any means new. Shark, Bosch and Beldray vacuum cleaners have very similar concepts in use.Another technology which is neither a necessity nor something out of the ordinary is the ‘Auto Surface Floor Detection’ feature which does exactly what it states.

Vacuum and best Cordless Vacuum – 8/10
Vacuum cleaner GTech AirRAM Platinum Anti Hair Wrap Cordless.Gtech becomes the latest one to make a cordless vacuum that is named AirRAM Platinum. An improved and more expensive version of AirRAM Platinum has been released, which is their best model yet, being over £120 more expensive than the basic AirRAM model. I must say I was a little sceptical which is why I was glad when the Platinum came after other well-intentioned warnings from close friends who struggled with the older models who used to lose suction power. I’ve been using the Platinum for several months now and it continues to perform as well as it did the first time I took it out of the box.

Bosch Unlimited 7 BCS712GB
As immersion in the design of tools and appliances does Bosch last much refrigerated with various electric parts inside. This undoubtedly holds true for the Unlimited 7 that is sturdy and functional, with no extra features but a staggering battery life, (I actually managed an hour). At the ‘do-ability’ level, it is super easy to use with a four-way sliding switch on the handle to select On, Eco, Turbo or Auto modes, which to be honest, is quite obvious. With the Auto mode, the suction power is increased or decreased, depending on the type of floor surface detected, similar to Dyson and Tefal above.

Vax ONE PWR Pace Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
This bagless Pace is one of the lightest machines that we’ve tested, with virtually no greater weight at this price. While moving around on my floors, the Pace is unavoidable top heavy but somewhat surprisingly feels quite mobile, thanks to an excellently meant swivel action and a compact LED brush head which is quite efficient. One 4.0Ah VAX ONEPWR battery module provides all the power and is removable and replaceable for convenience.

- Bin capacity 0.6 litres
Beldray Smartflex(Under £100 the best vacuum cleaner, 8/10 rating)
This Beldray Smartflex looks a bit less sophisticated than other units, with thick bulky plastic parts and a very simple LED panel. Still, in case you are looking for a vacuum cleaner within other price ranges, it would be very difficult to come across better than this one. The 4.4kg weight was perhaps the most user-friendly in terms of practical use per weight since it had the best distribution.

FAQs
How powerful is the ‘suck’ on a cordless vacuum cleaner?
At that time, when battery operated vacuum cleaners were introduced into the market, their performance was disappointing: they had very short run time and extremely low suckage. Nowadays, for example, one can easily find about two-third of the suction depth that a corded device provides and the device runs for about an hour before the need to recharge it again.
Would they have a wide dust capacity?
One litre is the most that you should expect from a cordless vacuum and some can hold as little as 30 cl. (In comparison cylinder vacuums come in capacities ranging between two to six litres.) These too require frequent emptying.
How is the filtration system of a cordless vacuum cleaner?
Many cordless vacuum cleaners these days also come with a HEPA filter, as those found in their corded counterparts, that is designed to capture 99.97% of particles that are 0.3 microns and larger.
